TWO WORSHIP SERVICES BEGIN JANUARY 5

Sundays at 9 and 11 am

In January, we will begin offering two worship services with slightly different musical styles. We will be complementing our traditional worship with an additional worship format that would be meaningful to many in our current congregation and could reach out to many others in our community that are drawn to a less formal worship style.

  • The 11 am service will continue to feature traditional worship with the chancel choir and organ preludes/postludes. Ken Cox will continue to lead the chancel choir, and Ann Stephenson Moe will continue playing our majestic pipe organ – with occasional musical offerings from the Bell Choir and other instrumentalists.

  • The 9 am service will include traditional (and some newer) hymns sung in a fresh style, accompanied by piano and other instrumentalists – all offered with the classic spirit and Biblical depth with which VPC offers all our worship to God.

Both services will offer the same message and the same reverent spirit of joy and worship.

This is an important expansion of our music ministry for the continued vitality of VPC’s mission. The 11 am Traditional Service will continue to offer our current style of traditional worship. The new 9 am Classic/Contemporary Service will be a unique blending of classic songs of faith with “singing a new song to the Lord.”
