Venice Presbyterian Church will be hosting a “Christmas in July” service of worship on Sunday morning, July 21 at 10 am. VPC’s “Christmas in July” features the singing of well-loved Christmas carols, a hope-filled message, and the lighting of candles. Christmas carolers will greet those arriving to the holiday-decorated church, and everyone is invited to enjoy Christmas cookies after the worship service. “We started this annual tradition to coincide with the mid-summer Christmas in July sponsored by the city of Venice,” explains Pastor Chris Romig. “People look forward to this fun weekend in our community, and lots of people enjoy capping off the festivities with singing carols, lighting candles in church, and remembering God’s amazing gift that can fill us with joy and peace throughout the year.” Venice Presbyterian Church is at 825 The Rialto – two blocks south of the hospital. A caring nursery is provided for young children.
