It's time for the Annual Churchwide Garage Sale!
Everyone can be part of this annual fundraiser. If you haven't ever participated in this sale, you'll find it a great place to meet and bond with your fellow congregants from VPC.
There are a number of different areas you can choose to serve. Donate sale-able items, bake goodies for the Bake Sale (Benefits Buddy Break), help distribute donated items to their appropriate departments, display/merchandise, price items, cashier on Saturday and/or be a part of the clean up team. Last but not least, shop and buy!
We also need volunteers for our Large Item Pick Up Team. Do you have a truck? We need you!! We will pair you with volunteers who can help do the heavy lifting.
Dates & times you need to know:
Volunteer Sign-ups: Workers and Bakers sign-up on the patio after worship services on February 9, 16 & 23.
Donations: Gently used & clean items will be accepted in the Fellowship Hall starting Sunday, March 1 - Wednesday, March 4, 9am till 2pm.
Large Item Pick-Up: Contact Kathy Wood at 941- 492-4851 or kwood1221@comcast.net by Monday, February 24, to be included on the pick up schedule. Pick ups will be scheduled Monday, March 2 - Wednesday, March 4.
Congregation Pre-Sale Day: Thursday , March 5, 9AM - 1PM
Closed Friday: The Garage Sale workers will get a day of rest before the community sale day.
Baked Goods Drop-Off: Baked goodies need to be delivered to the Fellowship Hall on Friday, March 6 before noon.
Garage Sale Day! Saturday, March 7
Clean Up: The clean up crew will start at 2pm boxing up items to be picked up by 2 area Thrift Shops. Rooms will be cleaned and returned to their original furniture arrangements. Finished by 4pm.
